It's the weekend! You've worked hard to get to this point, so you deserve to play hard, too. We've curated our favorite events happening around Austin for the next few days, from pop-ups to festivals to grand openings—all you have to do is round up your crew. Have a great weekend, y'all!

Fri 22

Fantastic Fest
Nerd out at this film fest for die-hard fans of horror, sci-fi, action and fantasy, and meet the talented men and women behind each film in intimate Q&As and panel discussions. Didn't score a badge? No worries—you can still pick up same-day tickets 10 minutes before a showing (just check the fest's ticket site to see which films have available space). Through next Thursday at 10pm

Texas Tribune Festival
President Trump won't be making an appearance at this year's Texas Tribune Festival, but he'll definitely come up in conversation once or twice. About 250 speakers are scheduled to participate in more than 60 sessions covering everything from education to climate change to, yes, politics. Friday at 9am to Sunday at 3pm

Sat 23

Pecan Street Festival
Head downtown for the fall edition of this semiannual arts and crafts festival, when historic 6th Street—formerly known as Pecan Street—fills with vendors selling their wares. Live music from local acts spans the two-day party. Saturday at 11am to Sunday at 8pm

Hatch Chile Fest
Think you have what it takes to enter Indian Roller's Hatch Chile Fest? All you have to do is enter a dish (for $10) with hatch chile as an ingredient and wait for the masses to render their verdict (there are cash prizes!). Stick around afterwards for craft beer, cocktails and hatch-themed entertainment. Saturday at 4pm

Sun 24

Jeffrey's Sunday Bagel Brunch
Class up your Sunday brunch with this Clarksville restaurant's family-style bagel brunch, launching this weekend. You'll find bagels (obvs), smoked fish, scrambled eggs and a pastry feast. The coffee is from Stumptown and the caviar is an extra $60 (regular tickets are $40). Sunday at 11:30am
