Whether you were dazzled by the pop-up Westworld theme park or put to sleep by Max Richter's eight-hour overnight concert, SXSW 2018 already has some surefire highlights. Pop-culture bonanaza Ready Player One premiered, countless startups received funding and Elon Musk invited us all for a ride on his spaceship. Right? Well...partly. If you're still waiting for your rocket ride, the good news is that the festival is only half over: The music portion of the fest is just getting started. Lest the hordes of up-and-coming bands get overshadowed by blockbuster films or technological wizardry, here are the rising bands we're looking forward to seeing at the festival. Dig into the ‘60s throwback of Cut Worms, the jazz explorations of saxist Nubya Garcia, the psych-rock of ORB and more before the music festival ends on Sunday, March 18 (or keep your eyes peeled, they'll be back).
