Which is why we were pretty stoked to hear about Lyft's recent partnership with the Texas Craft Brewers Guild, a nonprofit that works to promote and educate the public about Texas craft beer. To celebrate their recent union, Lyft is offering discounted rides to some of Austin's best breweries this weekend—a noble cause to which we can all raise a glass.
The rideshare company will be offering 10% off rides in Austin, DFW, Houston and San Antonio on April 7 and 8, as long as you're going to any brewery that's part of the Texas Craft Brewers Guild. Luckily, your favorite Austin brewery is probably part of the guild (Just a handful of members: Adelbert's, Austin Beerworks, Celis Brewery, Friends and Allies, Hops & Grain Brewing, Jester King Brewery, Oskar Blues Brewery, St Elmo Brewing and more—even Pitchfork Pretty is getting in on the action).
Snagging the discount is pretty simple—just enter your phone number here and you'll receive a confirmation text that your discount has been applied to your Lyft account. It's a small price reduction, sure, but anything to save a little money—especially when it can be spent on more beer.
