Ever wanted to see a magazine come to life? An issue of the revered national magazine of Texas is reimagined for a live studio audience with music, video, narration and live performances. Fri at 7pm

George Takei
The Star Trek actor will discuss his childhood in a Japanese American internment camp during World War II, his fight for LGBTQ rights and marriage equality, and his star-turn as Hikaru Sulu. Fri at 8pm

Cine Las Americas International Film Festival
Support Cine Las Americas, a non-profit cultural organization, during their annual international film festival highlighting films made by and about Latinos and indigenous groups of America. Features, short films, music videos and more are all included. Through Sun, times vary

Pecan Street Spring Arts Festival
Whether you're new to Austin or are a die-hard local, the Pecan Street Spring Arts Festival is a rite of passage. Don’t miss the chance to support ATX arts while taking in a palate-expanding platter of musical acts from some of Austin’s most promising up-and-comers (Los Coast, Mélat, Jane Ellen Bryant) to a slew of garage rock, psych and hip-hop slayers (Lola Tried, the Sun Machine, Zeale)—all for free! Sat & Sun at 11am

JMBLYA
The hip-hop festival returns to Texas for another year, stopping in Austin with sets from Young Thug, J. Cole, Migos, Playboi Carti, Trippie Redd, Jack Harlow and Ski Mask the Slump God, among others. Their free water policy is a bonus anyone can appreciate. Sat at 11am

Cinco de Mayo

The Back Pack Presents: Upstaged
The Back Pack is an Austin movement troupe that performs non-spoken sketch comedy. Their comedy sketches integrate a variety of media, including puppetry, shadow work and animation, all telling whimsical stories set to music. Their latest work, The Back Pack Presents: Upstaged, promises to be no different. The family-friendly production features the use of a live camera feed and the return of the group’s puppet doppelgangers created for their last show, Felt UpThrough Sunday at 7:30pm
