Time Out says

Iconic Barcelona party Nasty Mondays celebrates its first 15 years of life with a wild night of swing music.

'Stories without pretention, that were created with heart and guts – and, if I may – with the genitals ... with everything but the head.' This is how music journalist Richard Royuela describes the 15 years of Nasty Mondays, a miracle of a party celebrated every week at Sala Apolo.

The nocturnal soirée, which according to Royuela 'has normalised having a party on the worst day of the week', is the brainchild of Mad Max and Sören, who got it started in a small bar called Fonfone and has grown into itself at Apolo, to the point that it’s become one of the most iconic parties in Barcelona. And now the spirit of Nasty Mondays is spreading to cities across the world, from New York to Moscow.

But March 9 won’t be just like any other Monday. That’s because Nasty Mondays is celebrating its first 15 years of life with a wild night of swing music. The party will transport you back into the past, when the genre reigned in the United States. The stars of the night, besides the founders, will be tap and Louis Prima. Long live Mondays, as long as they stay this Nasty!
