One of the most iconic and representative clubs of Barcelona’s queer nightlife. If you’ve been partying for years, you’ll surely remember with nostalgia Arena Madre and Arena Classic on Balmes Street — two undisputed temples of LGTBIQ+ nightlife in the 90s and early 2000s. Although those venues no longer exist, their spirit lives on through Arena Experience, their direct and modernized heir. This space works as a "two-in-one": within the same club, there are two rooms with their own personalities, Madre and Classic, offering a musical lineup designed for everyone to show off their forbidden dance moves. DJs play throwback hits, commercial pop, electronic music, urban beats, kitschy anthems, and lots of reggaeton. In short: non-stop partying.
Beyond music, there are drag queen shows, striptease acts, performances, and themed nights depending on the day of the week. The dance floor is spacious and comfortable, with a futuristic pop aesthetic in its lighting, stunning visual effects, and an excellent sound system. You'll also find VIP areas with table service and various cozy corners where you can enjoy the atmosphere however you like.
The crowd is mostly young — in their 20s to early 30s — and very diverse: locals, expats, and tourists mix in a fun and inclusive environment. It’s the largest LGTBIQ+ club in Barcelona, a key meeting point for the community and anyone looking to have a good time. Entry costs €20, including a drink, but if you're savvy, you might find flyers for free entry handed out at the most popular bars in the Gaixample. The club is open every night of the week, from midnight until 5 a.m. Behind this nightlife empire is the Arena group, also responsible for other well-known venues like Safari Disco Club, Aire Chicas, Punto BCN, and DEMEN’s Gay Bar.
