From August 5 to 20 it's the tenth edition of the biggest European festival of culture and entertainment for the LGBTI community. The festival got its start in 2008, born out of a need for a bigger-better-more series of parties and events for an increasingly diverse and demanding public. Once again this year the festival is divided into the Circuit for men and the Girlie Circuit for women. We've chosen five of our favourite of the fun summer activities to get you started.

  • LGBTQ+

For years the Matinée group has been putting on local editions of the Forever Tel Aviv party, which is an Israeli mega production and one of the most popular gay parties in town. This time around DJs Sagi Kariv, Tomer Maizner, and Flavio Zarza keep you moving at this party in honour of a hedonistic and openly LGBTI Israel.

  • LGBTQ+

Did you know that the biggest gay water park party in the world is at Barcelona-adjacent Illa Fantasia? Organised by Circuit, this is without a doubt one of the biggest draws of the whole festival. During the day you can enjoy the park's attractions and swimming pools, and then get set to carry on into the evening with music while you take a dip in the wave pool, with tunes that fit the mood provided by DJs Aito Tikaro, Phil Romano, Nacho Chapado, Ivan Gomez, and Flavio Zarza. At night the party keeps going at the park's disco where you can dance until dawn with Alain Jackinsky, Steven Redant, Ana Paula, and Jordi Lights. Don't worry about transport from Barcelona, because the festival organises coaches that leave from Plaça de Catalunya every five minutes to take you directly to Illa Fantasia.

Girlie Circuit: La Leche!
  • LGBTQ+

Legendary party La Leche! serves up the ladies during the Girlie Circuit. This year it's on in the Safari Disco Club and you'll be treated to a live performance by Vanesa Leklein and music craftily spun by Lady Chus, Lydia Sanz and Austria's Kamikace.

This year Poble Espanyol's Terrazza Barcelona is the place to be to take part in the Girlie Circuit Closing Party. Mara Love, Nuria Scarp, Sofia Cristo, and Strulle provide the music to keep you dancing, along with a live performance by Soraya. Plus, the party features very special guest Daniela Blume.
