She’s a looker, this Barbara: all American oak benches and white tiles, with an air of Scando-chic behind those Art Deco steel-handled doors. But she’s not one of these unapproachable beauties. This new bar in the McWhirters Building, from the brains trust behind pop-up restaurant the Calypso Boys, boasts a bank of half a dozen taps poking our of a wall from which you can get local craft beer including the bar’s signature brew. Wine, spirits and cocktails are no problem but there’s no food offering as yet. But in this neck of the Valley, you’re never far from plenty of eats.
