La Lune can be found in the back lanes of South Brisbane's emerging dining precinct
Paul McGivern's La Lune is a petite package of chic style, great wine and great food. Chef Peter Moon's seasonal menu shines bright with his fennel and juniper-punched Kangaroo tartare on smoky petals of celeriac, topped with a rubble of sesame, lemon myrtle, cumin, coriander and cocoa nib dukkah. Moon finishes this triumph with olive oil and caramelised PX reduction. It's an absolute menu star and even better matched with wine from a long and stellar list of local, international, rare, young and aged beauties. Feel like a wine-friendly snack? Moon's creative spin on his cheese and charcuterie list makes it one of the best lists in town.
