Darling & Co is the stylish bar and restaurant on a corner of Given Terrace that’s open for lunch and dinner as well as breakfast on the weekends. Its airy, open design allows breezes to pass through – perfect for Brisbane’s climate – and the venue has been gaining fans for its modern Australian and mediterranean menu, along with its reputation for attentive, on-point service.
To welcome in spring, Darling & Co has redecorated with a spectacular cherry blossom installation. The activation fills the front bar with blossoms, fairy lights and Japanese parasols, bringing a big splash of seasonal colour to the popular local bar and restaurant.
And that’s not all they’ve got planned for spring. Every Wednesday throughout the season will be Bottomless Dumpling Wednesdays. Just $30 will get you a limitless supply of steamed dumplings and gyoza plus a schooner of Kirin beer or a glass of Edge of the World Barossa rosé. That’s a deal that’ll bound to brighten up your evening as the warmer weather kicks in.
The steamed dumplings come in chicken and mushroom, pork and chive, pork and cabbage or vegetable, while the gyoza are your classic pork and prawn. Made in house from scratch by head chef Nathan Carlise and his team, the dumplings are bottomless for a 90-minute window at either 6-7.30pm or 8-9.30pm – but you have to book ahead. Bottomless Dumpling Wednesdays will continue through till November 6, and offer a great way to catch up with friends midweek.
