Australia’s longest running independent art and design market is coming to the sunshine state this winter. Finders Keepers will be setting up shop at the Brisbane showgrounds for three days from June 22 to 24.
Finders Keepers regularly tours around Australia with stops also in Melbourne and Sydney. The design and art fair recently celebrated its tenth birthday and shows no signs of slowing down – following up its 2017 Brisbane Showgrounds debut with a return to The Marquee for 2018's winter festival.
Finders Keepers are known for supporting local artists and designers at each iteration and their upcoming stint in Brissie is no different. The June event will have a big focus on local, Queensland-based makers, with more than 30 per cent of the stall holders based in the state.
Keep an eye out for organic skincare company the Great State who will be keeping Queensland bodies beautiful with their natural beeswax balms. And for the fashion forward Finders Keepers regular Alice Nightingale is returning to the fair with her latest looks.
If you’re looking for a taste of the less-sunny south don’t worry – there will be Finders Keepers faves like kitsch ceramicist Bridget Bodenham and the quirky luminaries at Upswitch travelling north for the event.
All the Finders Keepers fun kicks off from noon on Friday June 22. For all you creatives stuck in the nine to five the market is staying open until 9pm on Friday, from 9am to 6pm on Saturday June 23 and from 9am to 5pm on Sunday June 24. Tickets are $5 at the door and junior artists and designers (kids under 12) are free. Stick around for the live music, food trucks and stalls and even bar if all the shopping's making you thirsty.
