[Sponsored] This much-loved massive art and design fair returns to Brisbane this November
Australia’s longest running independent art and design festival is coming back to the sunshine state just in time for some early Christmas shopping or just some retail therapy. Finders Keepers will be setting up shop at the Brisbane showgrounds for three days from November 9 to 11 so Queenslanders can enjoy a weekend packed with great design, lifestyle, food and music offerings.
Finders Keepers tours around Australia every year with stops also in Melbourne and Sydney. The design and art fair is well known for its excellent line-up of independent Aussie artists, makers and designers, making it the perfect place to pick up handmade goodies for the silly season while also supporting small businesses.
As always, the November Finders Keepers event will have a mix of local and interstate stallholders. Keep an eye out for Brisbane-based designer Concrete Jellyfish who makes bright and bubbly resin jewellery that fully embraces kitsch. And for the fashion-forward, check out inBLACK who, despite their name, put loads of colourful, summery prints on their clothing (as well as plenty of black).
The summer sun in Brissie can be harsh, so pick up some skincare from Nzuri Organics. Founder Nadine Shuma combines quality Australian organic ingredients with beauty rituals from Tanzania in all her handmade skincare products. Once you've fed your skin, feed the rest of you with a delicious (and pretty as can be) açai bowl from Tatty's Superfoods – they serve their açai bowls in hollowed-out pineapples!
All the Finders Keepers fun kicks off from noon on Friday, November 9. For any creatives stuck in the nine to five, the market is staying open until 9pm on Friday, and is open from 9am to 5pm over the weekend. Tickets are $5 at the door and kids under 12 get free entry.
