Time Out says

[Sponsored] The ink-redible Australian Tattoo Expo is coming to Brisbane for the first time

Brisbane your time has come. In July 2018 the Australian Tattoo Expo is coming to Brisbane for three days of amazing inked-up action. After making a name for itself in Melbourne, Sydney and Perth, Australia’s biggest festival of tattoo is coming to Brisvegas to celebrate all things body art.

From July 20 to 22 more than 200 tattoo artists from Australia and overseas will descend on the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre to show off their skills and what they’ve been working on. It’s the perfect opportunity to meet your next tattoo artist (or maybe your first) and explore different styles of tattooing. If you’re really champing at the bit to get a new work done you can even get a tattoo done on the spot.

Aside from stacks of amazing artists there will also be daily tattoo competitions, including the second round of the 2018 Australian Tattoo Series. You can also nab yourself the latest streetwear and have the depths of your anxiety tested as the Fuel Girls put on a high energy show featuring aerial performances and pyrotechnics.

Got a tattoo you’re not so proud to have? Make the best of a bad situation and enter the Sh!ttest Tattoo Competition on Sunday. Whether it’s an ex’s name, a misspelt word or a dodgy amateur-hour piece, you might be able to use that poorly thought out ink to win a prize.

The Australian Tattoo Expo is passionate about celebrating art and diversity, and aim to ensure everyone feels welcome and accepted at their events. Tiny tots right up to nannas can come to the expo, with kids under 12 even getting free entry (all guests under 18 must be accompanied by responsible adult).

Tickets for the Brisbane leg of the Australian Tattoo Expo are on sale now and can be purchased online.
