He wowed crowds in Brisbane at the Bigsound conference and was recently chosen as national support for Built To Spill on their Australian tour. Salter will be peforming an intimate solo show at The Bison Bar in Nambour on April 1st before getting the band together for two big shows at the Soundlounge in Currumbin on April 8th and The Triffid in Brisbane on April 9. He'll be joined by newly reformed Brisbane stalwarts Mexico City for both shows, as well as very special guests Front End Loader at the Brisbane show. Tickets for all shows are on sale now.

"I firmly believe Ben Salter to be one of Australia's best singers, and if I weren't so goddamn competitive, one of its best songwriters as well." Tim Rogers (You Am I)

Ben Salter is one of Australia’s most highly regarded performers and songwriters. As well as being a founding member of Giants of Science, The Gin Club and the two time ARIA nominated Wilson Pickers, he is an accomplished artist in his own right. His debut solo album The Catestablished his penchant for the melodic mixed with the esoteric, whilst the follow up “European Vacation EP” was a diverse collection of collaborations that Salter undertook whilst on a five month overseas writing mission. He has collaborated, written and performed with artists as diverse as Mick Thomas (Weddings, Parties, Anything), Tim Rogers (You Am I, The Temperance Union), Bernard Fanning (Powderfinger), Liam Finn and Gareth Liddiard (The Drones), to name a few. His second full length album, The Stars My Destination, was released in May 2015 to rave reviews. It was the Double J “Album of The Week” and has been played heavily on radio stations across the country.
Ben continues to perform relentlessly across Australia both solo and with a band, and his captivating live performances are not to be missed.
