It has been a heart breaking week behind the scenes at the Cat Cuddle Café. On Sunday evening, darling Roofus lost his battle with Lymphoma. His ‘wife’ Priscilla knew that his time was coming and had said her goodbyes. He went downhill very quickly and took his last breaths in the loving arms of Katina. He was very loved, right to the end.

Unfortunately, the sad news does not end there. Yesterday afternoon, we received a call advising us that our sweet Misty has Lymphoma. She is only 14 months old, this is not a diagnosis we expected when she became a bit off colour.

Misty entered foster care in April this year, with her three 6 week old kittens. Misty and her kittens were listed on a facebook buy, sell swap page. She was still only a kitten herself and her babies were way too young to be separated from her. Despite her young age, she was an amazing and caring Mum. She raised the most beautiful babies who are now happily living in their forever home.

Misty is the sweetest cat and during her short time in the café she won the hearts of the volunteers, staff and visitors. We will do all we can to ensure Misty has the longest, happiest and healthiest life possible. We have had so many emergencies and cats requiring extensive vet treatment, we could really use some help.
