The Milk Factory says
Since their formation in 2012, Sydney-based 5 piece, Breakaway have played with some of the world’s biggest acts and have achieved an online success well beyond their years. With almost 3 million streams and over 25,000 downloads of their debut E.P One Minute / One Moment, and over 3.5 million video views on YouTube, Breakaway have been caught in a whirlwind of success in both local and international scenes.

The band’s previous single At The World’s End saw heightened success with T.V airplay and a Song Of The Day feature on Purevolume. In 2013 the band were featured as part of Purevolume’s Top Ten Unsigned Bands and in 2014 they were named in Alternative Press Magazine’s 100 Bands You Need To Know This Year. In 2015 they were named in Blunt Magazine’s20 Bands To Watch in 2015 and supported the likes of As It Is (UK), Switchfoot (USA), With Confidence (AUS) and Shortstack (AUS), which adds to an incredibly impressive touring and support history of Taking Back Sunday (USA), The Used (USA), Flyleaf (USA), Closure In Moscow (AU) Kisschasy (AU), The Getaway Plan (AU), Anberlin (USA) and Hands Like Houses (AU), just to name a few.

Sam Biland (vocals), Michael Bonic (guitar), Rich Mammoliti (guitar/synth), Mitch Borton (bass) and Matt McNeil (drums) are in the midst of putting the final touches on their debut album, set for release late 2016 with Dave Petrovic of Electric Sun Studios (Tonight Alive, Heroes For Hire, Pop Goes Punk). The band are excited to bring you the first single from the Album in August.
Stay tuned, this is one band you definitely want to be a aware of in 2016.
