Doorknocking + picnic + casual soccer!

Next Sunday we're running a major doorknock in the southern part of Kangaroo Point to talk to residents about local issues in their neighbourhood and also to prompt them to think critically about Australia's broader political landscape.

We'll hold a training session from 3pm to 4pm, then head out in pairs for a couple hours. Afterwards we can either kick a soccer ball around in the park or maybe have a few beers at the Pineapple Hotel.

Because there's not a lot of public transport in the area, we're organising carpools from West End, Highgate Hill and Annerley through Woolloongabba, and we can probably organise one from the inner-north side of the river if there's demand for it. Post up in the comments if you'd like to hitch a ride.

Meeting point: under the big trees next to the Pineapple Hotel Car Park.
Street address is 706 Main St, Kangaroo Point, but we'll probably run the training session in the corner of Raymond Park bounded by Main St and Sinclair St.

Remember to bring:
- comfy shoes (particularly if you want to play soccer afterwards)
- hat
- water bottle
- sunscreen
- maybe an umbrella if it looks like being a little drizzly
- picnic food to share (totally optional obviously)

If you've never been doorknocking before, this will be a good event for first-timers, because we'll be sending you out in pairs with someone more experienced. Even if you're not 100% sure you want to come doorknocking, at least come along to the training session for the first hour and you can get a feel for what's involved.
