Ellie Jane debut album's launch at The Zoo with special guests Mudshadows, Olivia Ruth + Sian Evans.
Ellie Jane has been steadily building her music career as a singer-songwriter for the past 10 years. In 2015 she released her first solo EP "Songs From An Electric Heart" which was well received by audiences in Australia and abroad, capturing the essence of Ellie's brooding ballads and retro-style rock songs.
Since this release Ellie has been focusing on her live performances around Brisbane and beyond and is proud to announce the release of her debut full-length album "Dirty and Sweet". This album has a raw folk-rock feeling, splashed with elements of funk and grunge and a healthy serving of soulful ballads.
With a full band now behind her (The Forces of Destiny), and with some special guests, Ellie is set to bring her new album to life in a high energy show at The Zoo on Friday, December 16, 2016.
This exciting event is also going to feature some of the best female-fronted acts in Queensland;
Sian Evans (folk, country- roots and alternative) is currently promoting the video clip for her latest single "Cold Feet". Sian is an artist who sits a solid solo show, vocally, instrumentally, is authentic in personality and mood and always has a benchmark of greatness with her creative endeavours.
Olivia Ruth (original folk/Indi). Sunshine Coast's Olivia Ruth creates a sassy, raw vocal mix that leaves audiences stunned. She creates a swag of in-set jaw-dropping moments, reminiscent of Kate Miller-Heidke, Claire Bowditch and Missy Higgins.
Mudshadows (Alternative Rock/ Psychedelic) are a 4 piece band that has grown incredibly since their humble beginnings. This show is set to be a big one for Mudshadows as it will be the final farewell gig with their current drummer, Cait.
