A part of Brisbane Festival’s wider Family Program, Family Week has your entertainment sorted for the first week of school holidays!

Head down to the Aurora Spiegeltent at Arcadia, South Bank to see the return of The Listies (back by popular demand) or The Adventures of Broer & Zus for some comedy that even Dad will enjoy! Troppo will take you on a colourful journey through a daring new acrobatic world and, La Verità will dazzle you in a dream-like circus extravaganza. Plus there’s Rainbow Vomit, a spectacular work involving 7.6 kilometres of UV rope, mind-bending choreography and ‘fireworks glasses’ which is great for kids of all ages. And last but not least, You and Me and the Space Between, part picture book, part play and all wonder as a story is both drawn and read to you live.

Join State Library’s Asia Pacific Design Library for a playful look at typography and design thinking as we make, create and design to stimulate young imaginations! Don’t miss this creative hands-on activity for little designers, guided by their parents. Created by the Asia Pacific Design Library in conjunction with their Little Designers event series.

Using a mini robot - the Ozobot, you can create and draw your own mazes, playgrounds, racetracks and challenges. Learn how to control your Ozobot by drawing with different colours and codes to change Ozobot’s movement, lighting effects and timing.

Message Stack
20-23 Sept: 10am-12pm and 2pm-4pm
Message Stack is an Indigenous Jenga-style game that encourages audiences to learn urban Indigenous slang words and phrases. Challenge your friends, have a laugh and try to keep a steady hand.
