A celebration of all things gin and tonic is heading to Queensland this April for the inaugural Brisbane Fever-Tree G&T Festival in partnership with Howard Smith Wharves.
Having been postponed in 2021, the long-awaited second stop on the festival’s national tour will be a four-day celebration of the popular combination of gin and tonic water.
Running Thursday, April 28 to Sunday May 1, the festival will offer the latest G&T pairings and innovations at the Howard Smith Wharves precinct under the Story Bridge. Expect three-hour immersive sessions with local and international gin distillers showcasing the very best in gin paired with Fever-Tree premium mixers.
Festivalgoers will have the opportunity to experience the Gin Village with 20 distillers showcasing their latest (g)innovations; the Ultimate Gin & Tonic Bar serving up bespoke G&T pairings; Workshops & Discovery Talks starring top distillers; and Four Pillars Riverside G&T Bar mixing the very best G&Ts, paired with charcuterie and cheese, soundtracked by DJs.
Local and international distillers introducing attendees to their top drops include Aussie favourites Four Pillars Gin; Archie Rose Distilling Co; and Never Never Distilling Co as well as celebrated gins from around the world.
Workshops & Discovery talks cover topics such as pairing cheese with G&Ts; how to make a G&T Cream Float with Fever-Tree’s Lemon tonic; and new and interesting garnishes to shake up your next G&T at home.
Food options will feature Howard Smith Wharves restaurant pop-ups throughout the festival site. Acoustic acts and DJs will set the scene, while sweeping views of the Brisbane River provide the backdrop.
Curated by Fever-Tree premium mixers, the festival aims to highlight the wonderful world of modern gin and give locals the chance to purchase limited edition and hard-to-find gins from some of the world’s most renowned gin distilleries.
Tickets include timed entry with all workshops included and six complimentary mini G&Ts (valued at $20). Find out more here.
