The Milk Factory says
The power or storytelling is alive and well with Brisbane group Fugitive & the Vagabond. Telling tales about the pain of love and oppression along with the sobering redemption that is the human conscience. The band use music as the soundtrack to the images of stories both fact and fiction which has captivated audiences nationwide.

“You better be listening to what I'm saying. If you listen close you might figure out who I'm playing.”
Jordan Merrick, The Ephemeral Man

In the bands debut year, they released an EP entitled 'The Lonesome' which received positive reviews from both fan and industry professionals alike. The single 'The Wild' had success on the JJJ Unearthed charts, peaking at second on the Roots charts, and in the top 12 nationwide. This was capped off by songwriter Jordan Merrick's nominations at the Gold Coast Music Awards for both Emerging Artist and Song of the Year (The Wild).

The band have announced the release of the first single, Talkin' City Blues, off their debut album Novella. Talkin' City Blues expands on the trials and tribulations of city life in an almost satirical fashion, and highlights songwriter Jordan Merrick's unique penmanship.

“It's a fate-filled game we go and play. The road less traveled leads straight to your grave, you go.
Like the puppets before you. Don't live with regret, live for a second chance.”
Jordan Merrick, Talkin' City Blues

Rest assured, the first single off Fugitive & the Vagabonds debut record is released, unique raconteuring poetry of Jordan Merrick and his group of Vagabonds will take Australia, and the world by storm.
