Hot off the back of their showcase at this year's BIGSOUND, Green Chimneys are proud to present an exclusive headlining performance from Melbourne dankwave collective 30/70.
Equal parts soul, space and smoke, this multifaceted hip-hop family have been killing hometown shows with their sweet soul-jazz vibrations. Last year's debut LP "Cold Radish Coma", released through Moontown Records, got spins around the globe, receiving attention and airtime from UK tastemakers Bradley Zero (Rhythm Section) and the legendary Gilles Peterson.
Combine O.G. beat disciples Ziggy Z, Hazy Hicks, Chaser and Thhomas holding it down in the rhythm section, with the liquid smooth tones of front-woman Allysha Joy, and you get an explosion of live beats that is not to be missed.
Rounding off the evening is soul sister Tiana Khasi backed by Green Chimneys' in-house rhythm unit The UltraFantastics, together with cosmic synth-funk from Vulture St Tape Gang and crusty crate creations from rohan the intern.
Dust it off and twist it back as 30/70 and the GCR family take you on a cosmic beat journey of the highest order.
