Limited Edition Live At The Triffid album included with every ticket purchase

To celebrate the success of their critically acclaimed fifth studio album The Golden Halfway Record and the release of their new single “Three In And Nothing But The Stars” Brisbane’s Halfway have just announced a very special hometown show at The Triffid. As a treat for local fans the band will be playing both their debut and latest albums live and in full as a part of the first annual Longplayer Sessions on Saturday October 29. The ticket bundle will also include a limited edition copy of Halfway Live At The Triffid so it’s must see for fans.

Halfway’s latest single “Three In And Nothing But The Stars” showcases their refined Country-Rock Americana sound and is a true reflection of a band that have released five albums and spent over a decade writing music together. Full of rich production and layered instruments, the lyrics are ripe with nostalgia and glimmers of adolescence.

“The band is like a face, showing all the stuff that the years have piled on. One day you’re just a kid, screaming around in the summer dark, and then you do what you do, roads less travelled or waking up in the ditch, but keeping on. Then every now and then, in the midst of it all, you look in the mirror and it’s all there. These albums are like those mirror moments.” - John Willsteed of Halfway.

Travelling to Nashville, Tennessee to record The Golden Halfway Record, Brisbane eight-piece Halfway worked with producerMark Nevers (Calexico, Bonnie Prince Billy, George Jones) and released the album through ABC Music earlier this year. Since it’s release in April, Halfway have played shows right around the country, all the while receiving all star reviews from The Australian, The Courier Mail, Rolling Stone & The Music among many others.

“And after careful consideration I can only conclude that this album is perfect, and that there can be no doubt that Halfway is among a handful of the most talented and consistent acts in operation… you simply must hear this.” – 5/5 The Australian
