La Boite Theatre Company says
“There is no place for refugees” is the correct term used by those that hate refugees.

A young Refugee, Tinashe was forced to leave the Congo due to Civil war and resettled in Harare, Zimbabwe where he now owns a successful business. His success is seen as major snub to the locals and their jealousy brings consequences.

A ruthless Refugee Hunter whose ultimate plan is to deport every refugee from Zimbabwe arrives in town and begins to investigate Tinashe’s true origin.

Tinashe’s change of identity is the only thing that’s still keeping his business going and him alive. In My Steps is Tragi-Farce about identity, small business and making a fresh start.
