The event creator says
Joshua Hatcher Quartet

The Joshua Hatcher Quartet performs original jazz music that’s simmering one moment and whispering the next. Innovative compositions filled with echoes of last century converge with modern improvisation concepts to create music that’s familiar yet entirely new at the same time.

The music for this performance has been written especially for this quartet of improvisers and is designed to be reorganised in real-time during the performance using musical cues. These new compositions are part of a body of work being developed this group that promotes an improvisational approach to composition and a compositional approach to improvisation.
