Join us on Sunday September 11 for a lazy afternoon with some amazing beers from La Sirene's Avant Gard Collection. We will be trying each of the three beers from collection and providing three distinct cheeseā€™s matched to the unique flavour profile of these rare and experimental brews.

The Avant Gard Collection is La Sirene's excuse to explore, experiment, infuse, co-ferment, wild ferment, distil, macerate, battonage and purposely cellar beers in bottles. In short it is an exploration and study of bottle ageing and intra-bottle transformation.

La Sirene purposely left barrels & wood ageing out of the equation with the intention to embrace the subtleties (and overtness in some cases) that can eventuate with time and patience when various local & wild strains of yeast/bacteria are allowed to blossom, impart and express themselves in the beer without any oak or wood (or overt malt/hop characters) to steal the show.

The majority Avant Gard Collection have been bottle-aged from 9 months - 18 months ++ AN EVOLUTION IN TABLE BEERS
