Murri Ailan Way 2016 says
Celebrating Australia's first nation community, culture and talent at QUT. Which Way? Murri-Ailan Way.

Murri-Ailan Way is QUT's celebration of National Aboriginal Islander Day Observance Committee (NAIDOC) week across QUT campuses from 16 – 18 August.

Come and be a part of this free event and see a variety of traditional and contemporary performers, participate in hands-on workshops, learn and sample bushfoods or listen in on panel discussions.

Day 3 of the event will be celebrated at Creative Industries Precinct, where we'll focus on some of the artistic talents of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture.

Nunukul Yuggera Aboriginal Dance Troupe and Wagga Torres Strait Island Dance Company will open the event, followed by a writers panel featuring established Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander authors including QUT alumnus Ellen Van Neervan, performances by The Voice Finalist Kristal West, basket weaving Ailan Way and painting your own canvas with Bidjara Artist and QUT alumnus Jyi Lawton. There will be a number of stalls on hand including bush food information sessions and tasting as well as a sausage sizzle from the QUT Big Lift!
