Idiot Grin is an acoustic alt/indie rock trio based in Brighton, by Brisbane’s Moreton Bay. While their unofficial motto is “Will play for beer and food”, their aspirations are for bigger, shinier things. Their mission is to take a song, break it down to the bones, make it their own, and share the lurve with a raw but sweet acoustic, unplugged vibe. The trio comprises: Garry ‘Gman’ Bain on acoustic guitar and vocals, Marti ‘Pappybear’ Leonard on bass and backing vocals, and Chris ‘Luigi’ Collie on Cajon and Congas. They let Chris sing a line occasionally as well. The trio sprung out of the Montville-based band, Smokin' Melaleucas.
