We're thrilled to get the first taste of new music from The Creases...their latest single 'Impact' is unapologetically & joyously loud, just that way we like it! The much-loved Brisbane band has also announced a run of east coast tour dates for July, with a stop at the Mammoth on Saturday, July 02.

Premiered by triple J just moments ago, the new single sees The Creases continuing to innovate, pushing their sound to exciting new heights. ‘Impact’ is unapologetically and joyously loud – layered, swirling guitars and vocals drenched in a nostalgic symphony of brass and strings – and marks a bold step forward for the outfit, as they refine their signature sound.

Recently taking out the QMusic Award for Most Promising Male Songwriter, vocalist and guitarist Joe Agius demonstrates his effortless ability to write enthralling and charismatic tunes that you just can’t help but love.

"I wrote the foundation of Impact while staying down on my dad’s farm last year after a lot of heavy listening to early 90s UK acts such as Happy Mondays & Blur. It was recorded down in Melbourne with Malcolm Besley of Northeast Party House and features Liam McGorry of Saskwatch & Dorsal Fins on brass. The song talks about the struggles to keep a balanced lifestyle and relationship with people, work and sleep when everything you do creatively requires you to be unbalanced. It's been a highlight for us to play live for a while now so we're super excited to finally have it out in the world." – Joe Agius
