After lying low for the first half of 2016, Brisbane-based ska/punk band The Mouldy Lovers are returning to launch their brand new single, Civilised Crossfire.

Written in response to the news that the federal government was sending Australian planes to bomb targets in war-torn Syria, The Mouldy Lovers fashioned their latest musical effort into a vicious critique of the military industrial complex, as well as the weapons manufacturing industry in general. The title refers to how disconnected we are from the wars that the government starts in our name, and highlights the people who get caught in the middle.

Produced by local legend Paulie Bromley (Bobby Alu, The Beautiful Girls), Civilised Crossfire channels it’s earnest message through bouncing reggae grooves and an infectious punk energy - uncompromising of both the band’s musical style and moral integrity.

Come join the mouldies as they launch this single at one of their all time favourite venues, The Zoo! Full details and ticket sales coming soon.
