Pig ‘N’ Whistle Riverside will be hosting a World’s Greatest Shave public shave event for the Leukaemia Foundation, raising awareness and much-needed funds for leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma and other related blood disorders.

The Leukaemia Foundation’s World’s Greatest Shave began in 1998 and today, is one of Australia’s biggest charity events! People get sponsored to shave, colour or wax their hair and raise funds to help people with blood cancer.

More than 12,000 Australians will be diagnosed with leukaemia, lymphoma or myeloma this year – equivalent to 34 people every day around Australia. So there is at least 34 reasons to get involved with this great event.

More than 150,000 people from all walks of life are expected to shave or colour their hair this year. Some will go it alone while others will get a team together.

In 2015, the World’s Greatest Shave event at Pig ‘N’ Whistle Riverside was a huge success, with over 100 people getting involved from around Brisbane, including a lot of staff from nearby office towers , residents from Eagle Street and Brisbane City, sales representatives of Pig ‘N’ Whistle suppliers, locals and tourists alike.

Pig ‘N’ Whistle Riverside has put together a team to represent the venue, with some staff dying their hair and some shaving it all off for the great cause.
