Your Man Alex Smith’s last performance before recording new album

Don’t miss your last chance to see Your Man Alex Smith perform, live from the Zoo.

On Friday 27th November, Your Man Alex Smith (YMAS) will be joined by The Goldhearts, Down the Kings, and Ellie Jane and the Forces of Destiny for an end of an era and the start of a new one – as The Goldhearts also release their new single from their forthcoming 2016 album.

“I wanted to end with a bang for this year, and the Zoo is the ultimate place for any band to feel like a rockstar. I couldn’t refuse the chance to play here before recording starts,” YMAS frontman Alex Smith said.

Following the very successful Crazy Days EP (2013) produced by Stuart Stuart of Analog Heart Studios (Sheppard’s Geronimo), YMAS will be hitting the recording booth again for his first full length album featuring such songs as ‘Guilty’, ‘Mr Heads & Tails’, and ‘Little Automaton’ which has gained much popularity within the last year.

Your Man Alex Smith has been gigging new venues of Brisbane and South East Queensland over this year solo, and with the infamous four-piece Your Band Alex Smith. In August, YMAS also featured in the soundtrack of “The Sunflower Puzzle” on the Gold Coast Art Centre stage. Now, Alex wants to put down his live mic and don the headphones from the need of his fans.

“I’ve been doing a lot of gigging which I’ve absolutely loved but I really want to focus on creating some new content and more importantly, good content. That’s why I’m gonna focus on writing for the moment”, Alex Smith said.

Ellie Jane and the Forces of Destiny are a Brisbane-based dynamic 3 piece band. Their high energy show is guaranteed to entertain, with their alternative folk-rock will keep the crowd grooving.

Tickets will be $10 preorder and $12 at the door, 18+. Tickets can be purchased at Please contact for more information.
