The Foundry Brisbane says
It's always difficult when a hero leaves this Earth, but when a Starman leaves, all we can do is be thankful for the short time we were allowed to share the planet with him. David Bowie was many things, not the least of which was a man of action - someone who routinely spoke through his art to address the myriad problems and injustices that exist in the world. The Foundry is going to try to do the same as it pays tribute to Ziggy Stardust himself, in a night of music, togetherness and charity, with proceeds donated towards helping cancer charities, who work tirelessly to eradicate the disease that ended the half-century career, and life, of David Bowie.

Local bands and artists will join in a celebration of the songs, the performances, and the life of David Bowie, forming a truly impressive lineup to be announced soon.
