On Tuesday, June 16, the southern French wine region of Limoux will be the focus at Time Out Market Budapest for one evening: from 6pm, a special Antech champagne tasting awaits those who would like to delve deeper into the world of French bubbly.
Antech has been an independent family business for six generations, specialising in traditional champagne production, in a region where the history of champagne culture dates back centuries. The estate produces champagnes in three protected categories: Crémant de Limoux, Blanquette de Limoux and Blanquette Méthode Ancestrale, meaning the evening offers much more than a classic tasting.
The guest will be Baptiste Antech Gazeau, son of Françoise Antech, who will be presenting the history of the winery, the character of the Limoux region and the grape varieties – including Mauzac, Chenin, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir – that form the basis of Antech’s fresh, elegant and characterful champagnes.
Time Out Market Budapest’s food and drink outlets will be operating during the event. The kitchens stay open until 10pm, the bars until 11.30pm.
