It's not every day that you get to celebrate the 160th birthday of a Budapest institution, and even more rarely, you get to do it in a Biodome. On August 9, however, this is exactly where songs will ring out for the anniversary of Budapest Zoo and Botanical Garden.
Members of revered local combo Budapest Bár, Vera Tóth, Bori Rutkai, Bora Ferenczi, Frenk and Krisztián Szűcs, will take turns behind the microphone to present crowd favourites such as Cat Duet and The Adventures of a Thousand Nights.
The party starts at 8pm, but it's worth arriving early, as you can enter the Biodome from 6.30pm and see the City Oasis created there.
