Time Out says

The House of Music Hungary is not just a concert venue or a museum – it is, above all, a platform for anyone open to the world of sound. Designed by award-winning Japanese architect Sou Fujimoto, the glass-walled building with its floating roof in City Park literally blurs the boundary between park and architecture, while its interior focuses on three pillars: exhibitions, concerts, and music education.

Permanent and temporary exhibitions, the Sound Dome, creative spaces and a diverse concert program agenda to turn music into a true experience – spanning everything from folk songs and classical to electronica. Here, music is not an abstract or distant art form but a shared activity in which anyone can join.

International recognition has followed, too: in 2024, the institution was shortlisted for the European Museum of the Year Award.

Scott Lavene

5 out of 5 stars
Cars, Buses, Bedsits and Shops, the most recent release by Essex singer-songwriter Scott Lavene, nicely sums up this idiosyncratic troubadour who delves into the bizarre corners of everyday life for his unique material. Underscored by a punk DIY ethic, Lavene delivers his self-penned ditties in unadorned Estuary brogue with large helpings of rainy melancholy. Here he's supported by Juci Németh and Hunor G Szabó, aka Jucihonor Duo.
