If you enjoy discovering new places to eat and are looking for genuine recommendations (beyond just a pretty picture), this list is for you. Foodie Instagrammers not only suggest what to order at restaurants but also give you insight into how much it costs, whether it's worth it, and the best time to visit. They provide the info you need to go with confidence and enjoy without surprises. Or, as we casually say, THEY’RE THE REAL DEAL.

For this selection, we chose profiles with very different styles to create a diverse and authentic curation. The best part? No fake reviews or hidden ads—just real experiences and honest opinions.

1. @chicaelectricaa

Cecilia Boullosa started her account in 2011 as a complement to her work as a food journalist and found her unique style during the pandemic with her “Electric Guides.” On @chicaelectricaa (69K followers), her approach is direct and unfiltered: “I do what I want, I don’t follow the algorithm. I try to be genuine and loyal to the people who’ve been following me for a long time,” she says.

Her foodie profile led her to become “China Eléctrica” for a month after an invitation to explore Chinese cuisine. She dislikes food chains and loves discovering places that reflect the people behind them.

Besides food, she loves cinema, reading, animals, and walks around Buenos Aires. This personal universe, although not always visible in her posts, is part of the authenticity her followers appreciate.

2. @acomercongold

Alan Gold, better known as @acomercongold, is 37 years old and one of the most followed and beloved foodie figures in the local gastronomic scene. With an approachable, authentic, and always tempting style, this young man from the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Núñez roams around grills, bodegones, all-you-can-eat spots, and hidden gems across Buenos Aires (and beyond), looking for those special finds that make a difference.

He tells us that he got into food on social media because of his father, who instilled in him a passion for dining out and trying different dishes. “I never ordered the kids’ menu because I wanted to eat what the adults were having,” he recalls. “I wanted to give my personal touch to the world of social media and show what I love most, which is going out to eat,” says Alan, who now owns an agency that handles the social media of restaurants and food businesses.

With over 200K followers on Instagram and a huge following on TikTok—where his videos exceed 120 million views and go viral whenever he recommends a generous dish or showcases an Argentine experience—Alan knows how to eat well and, even more importantly, how to share the experience. He manages social media professionally and connects with his audience through genuine enjoyment, no fluff. A fan of Bicho (Argentinos Juniors, of course), Alan is the friend we all wish we had for dining out—and the one who always knows where to go.

3. @salttepper

@salttepper (155K followers) was born in 2015 when Brian and Natasha, a couple for nearly 15 years, started sharing their dining outings. She, having grown up in a family accustomed to dining out, and Brian, with a more bodegón-type profile, found their common ground in sushi.

About their style, they explain: “We accept invitations, but if we don’t like a place, we prefer not to post about it. We want our recommendations to be authentic and honest.” Their key is sharing only what they genuinely enjoy, connecting with their community from a real place. They also extend that connection to the real world: they organize dinners with followers, creating a space to enjoy good food and share experiences.

Additionally, they organized “SALTPALOOZA,” a festival to celebrate their page’s anniversary at Los Jardines de Las Barquín in Retiro, featuring live music, guest brand booths, and spots to grab drinks and have fun. It was a great success.

4. @buenospaladaires_

@buenospaladaires_ (172K followers) was created in 2015 when Irina Widuczynski, after receiving constant requests for gastro recommendations from her circle, decided to open a profile to share her epicurean experience: “People around me were always asking where to go, requesting recommendations, and insisting I create an Instagram profile. So, I finally gave in and did it. Without any intention for it to become what it is today,” she says.

What she enjoys most is conveying the identity of each place through her photos and the impact it has on her followers. This connection with her community was also evident during a gastronomic trip she organized to Lima, where several people trusted her and embarked on the experience: “That they trusted me with everything still blows my mind,” she says.

Her style is defined by one word: “authentic.” Her key lies in sharing only what she truly likes, without relying on sponsorships or paid posts. “I think that’s what makes people trust my word,” she explains. In a world of highly produced social media, her honesty has become her distinguishing feature.

5. @ramitagram

Ramiro Terraza, @ramitagram (452K followers), didn’t always have gastronomy as his main focus. Before social media exploded, his world revolved around photography and content creation. Food came later, almost by accident, as an excuse to experiment and share. “When I started in 2014, there weren’t many content creators related to gastronomy, apart from chefs or people doing recipes,” he remembers. But his love for food was always there: as a child, he loved exploring the craft as a solution to the need to eat.

Today, this unplanned journey has opened doors to incredible experiences, from dinners at luxury restaurants to stays at dream hotels. His passion for food also led him to create his own guide of recommended spots and a YouTube channel with almost 250K subscribers, where he shares recommendations and anecdotes.

Ramita has achieved what many dream of: turning what he loves into his job—with the best excuse possible: eating delicious food.

6. @ekaterinanekrasova.arg

Ekaterina Krasova is Russian and defines herself on Instagram as: “Expert in luxury hotels, haute cuisine, and Luxury Travel Creator.” Her foodie profile started after moving to Argentina when she created a blog in her native language to share restaurant recommendations and special places with her Argentine husband.

Initially hesitant to start a blog in Spanish due to the language barrier, a meeting with Francis Mallmann was the turning point that led her to expand and create content in both languages. After being inspired by watching a Chef’s Table episode about the chef, she ended up at one of his events in Argentina by pure chance. “I spent the whole day with him and his team, getting up close to the preparation and discovering all the invisible aspects for the diners,” she recalls.

Her account style, @ekaterinanekrasova.arg (38K followers), focuses on telling stories and showing the essence of each place with visually appealing content. Her love for food is also reflected in the Medovik, a traditional honey cake from her country that she prepared for clients from over 40 nationalities. “This dessert marked the beginning of my path in gastronomy,” she concludes.

7. @bruncheandoenbsas

Pau Edery of @bruncheandoenbsas (213K followers) is living proof that a love for food can emerge at any time. From being a selective eater, she became a gastronomic explorer with a curious palate and camera in hand. Until she was 17, her menu was a classic comfort food lineup: milanesa, hamburgers, and hot dogs. But one day, something clicked, and her world opened to new flavors. Each dish she tried was a discovery, a surprise, an experience.

That’s how her passion for sharing what she ate on social media was born, almost like a visual diary of each bite that amazed her. What started as a simple record grew into Bruncheando Buenos Aires.

Her content is as neat and aesthetic as the dishes she reviews. Pau doesn’t just showcase places, she makes them shine. “I always try to make everything look as aesthetically pleasing and well-curated as possible because that’s how I like to see it,” she says about her visual style.

And while her followers discover unmissable spots, she enjoys the behind-the-scenes moments: time spent with friends and family, chats with baristas, and the energy of entrepreneurs who pour everything into their proposals. Because for her, food is much more than a dish: it’s history, company, and learning.

8. @ba.eat

Kati and Meli Angielczyk always had food as their point of connection. As kids, every family outing ended in discussions about which places were worth visiting and which weren’t. That’s how their habit of making restaurant lists was born: the ones they’d recommend, the ones they’d repeat, and the ones they’d prefer to forget. What started as a simple game turned into the foodie account @ba.eat (264K followers).

From day one, the sisters were clear about their style: authentic, relaxed, and unpretentious. “We aim for our content to feel honest, organic, and authentic. We want it to show that it’s made by two young people who could be anyone reading the review, who love to eat and don’t sound forced,” they say. And that freshness is what allows them to connect with thousands of followers.

Beyond recommendations, Kati and Meli enjoy every experience: trying new dishes, sharing with friends, and getting to know entrepreneurs who put everything into their gastronomic proposals.

9. @lachicadelbrunch

@lachicadelbrunch (4.7 million followers) is the foodie profile of Rocío Strat, an Argentine gastronomic influencer who managed to turn her love for food into an active and loyal community. Her passion for gastronomy started in childhood when her mom packed unique school lunches and her dad introduced her to exotic recipes. This interest in food evolved into a constant search for new flavors and experiences.

Graduating in Audiovisual Production and Communication, she began by sharing photos of cafes and places she visited on her personal Instagram account. The positive response from her friends led her to create her profile in 2019, initially focused on brunch reviews in Buenos Aires. Over time, her content grew and diversified, making her a gastronomic reference.

Her authentic style and visually appealing content were key to her success. Today, her community goes beyond social media with a Telegram group where followers exchange recommendations and organize gastronomic meetups.
