Just when we thought we had some breathing space before Dezemba, November throws us for a loop.

Starting the month strong is Bed By 10: LGBTQIA+ Edition. The global clubbing event is a unique daytime experience that lets partygoers jol to their heart’s content and then be in bed by 10pm.

The Stellenbosch Street Soirées take over the university town on 11 and 25 November. Sip on fine wine and eat delicious food under those giant oak trees.

And then the Best Day Out Festival returns to the Company’s Garden on Saturday, 28 November. You might as well make a weekend of it, because the Festive Lights Switch-On happens the very next day. Hobble down to the Grand Parade and along Adderley Street to watch the festivities unfold.

For the rest of the month, we’ve got cocktail festivals, R&B parties and a ballet that brings the cosmos to life via dance.

Founded by Ghanaian bartender and drinks industry heavyweight Colin Asare-Appiah and his longtime collaborator Mark Talbot Holmes, AJABU takes its name from the Swahili word for something wondrous or miraculous.
