Known for its curated and refined dining experience that champions local and African flavours alongside ocean cuisine, COY, has expanded one of its loved dining experiences, the COY EDIT

Previously only available for lunch, the COY EDIT winter edition is now available for both lunch and dinner and offers diners the opportunity to savour a range of dishes without committing to the seven-course menu.

The menu pays homage to the bounty of the season, while maintaining the restaurants ethos of South African flavour, flair and nostalgia alongside a dose of global influence.

“The dishes are simple, honest, and built for cooler nights, but they still carry the same care and hospitality that define COY,” shares co-head chef, Teenola Govender.

You can expect fan favourites including G’s Fried Chicken served with chicken salt, habanero honey and blue cheese sauce, alongside a new occasional dish, a homemade pie served with creamy mash and a side salad that will even give your ma’s iconic pie a run for its money.

Additionally, new dishes include tagine with white beans, rase el hanout and labneh, complex in flavour and hearty. The white beans act as a blank canvas absorbing the aromatic and earthy notes of the rase el hanout. It’s a hug for your taste buds and a dish you will want seconds of.

And frequent Coy diners, fear not, the iconic dessert that is oh so loved by diners (me included), the burnt banana crème with milk stout and malt, features and is a sweet ending to the dining experience.
