Heading abroad, or coming to check out Cape Town? It’s going to get even easier to fly in and out of the Mother City this summer.

Qatar Airways – voted World’s Best Airline by Skytrax for a record ninth time in 2025! – has announced that it’s increasing its schedule to Cape Town, adding two extra flights a week from Doha. Travellers will be able to take their pick from 12 weekly flights (up from 10, and so close to a double-daily!) and more seats mean greater flexibility and, if we’re lucky, possibly lower fares.

Inside tip? Try to book a flight operated by a Boeing 777 aircraft, as these are equipped with Starlink to offer free in-flight internet access for all passengers! Perfect time for Netflix and … chicken or beef!

And Qatar’s not the only airline showing Cape Town some love this summer. Norse Atlantic Airways launched its inaugural flights into Cape Town last year, and the service into London Gatwick was such a roaring success that they are returning again in October! Norse’s seasonal route launches on October 28, 2025, kicking off with three flights per week before ramping up to four weekly flights from December 2025 to April 2026.

There’s also good news for Francophiles. Air France is bringing back its seasonal flights between Paris and Cape Town, and from mid-December 2025 to mid-January 2026, Air France will offer a daily service from the Mother City to the City of Light.

But if a tropical escape is calling your name, have you heard that South African Airways is planning nonstop flights from Cape Town to Mauritius from December? Flights kick off on December 9, 2025. Think sandy beaches, turquoise water and cocktails, with no Johannesburg layover required. You’ll find all the details over here. Bon voyage!

Cape Town had a record-breaking cruise season this year!
