See what comes crawling out after closing time as Chiang Mai Birders head into Chiang Mai Zoo for a special Insect Night Walk. Led by Thana from Nature Walk, the small group will explore the zoo after dark in search of the tiny creatures that usually stay hidden during the day. Spoiler; it’s insects, geckos, frogs, scorpions, spiders and whatever else decides to make an appearance. The walk sticks to the zoo’s roads, but bring a torch, water, raincoat and wet-weather gear just in case. There are only ten spaces available and children are welcome to join, with the B4,000 guide fee split evenly between everyone taking part (that’s just B400 if the group is full). To register and find out the meeting point, email charlieandrews75@gmail.com.
Aug 17. From B400 (price depends on final group size). Chiang Mai Zoo. 6.30-9pm.
