Known locally as Baan Louis, the Louis T. Leonowens Mansion is a handsome heritage house that offers a window into Lampang’s teak-trading era, when the city was a major centre for the northern logging industry. Built in the early 1900s as the residence and office of Louis T. Leonowens, son of Anna Leonowens of The King and I fame, the property sits in Lampang’s old forestry quarter near the Wang River.
