iBike Rosemont says
It’s that time of year again for our FAVORITE kids event in North Oak Cliff iBike Rosemont!
Bike Friendly Oak Cliff and the Rosemont Dads Club Presents the 2015 bike to school week at Rosemont Elementary.
On April 20th - 24th we will be hosting iBike Rosemont benefiting all the children of Rosemont Schools. This is a week-long event held each year and is a combined effort between Rosemont Schools, parents, students and neighbors. The week consists of morning bike rides to school by parents and students. The riders get a card that is punched each day they ride their bike to school. Actually if you ride your scooter or walk to school that counts too! So leave the car at home and bike, roll or walk to school. At the end of the week on Friday, the kids, their parents, volunteers and teachers participate in a group bike ride to Eno’s in the Bishop Arts District, where the kids turn their punch cards in for a free root beer float. All of this with the support and oversight of the Dallas Police Department and Dallas Fire Department.
This year we hope to be bigger and better than ever! We have musicians lined up each morning to encourage the kids as they ride to school as well as prizes to be given out each day as a reward for their effort! The ride to Eno’s for Root Beer floats will be supported by DPD on bicycles and one (possibly two) fully manned Fire Trucks!
