2nd Annual Jazz Age Sunday Social

Save the date! It is with great pleasure that we proudly announce to you the Second Annual Jazz Age Sunday Social! The inaugural event was such an outstanding success, we're making it happen again this year! Brought to you by Dallas Heritage Village and the Art Deco Society of Dallas, March 22nd brings the return of one of the greatest vintage-inspired events Dallas has ever seen. We hope that you'll join us for this incredible event- join us and find out for yourself what makes this event so spectacular. The Singapore Slingers and Razzmajazz will be performing traditional jazz and dixieland for your listening and dancing pleasure... a real, wooden dance floor awaits! Elaine Hewlett of the Rhythm Room will be teaching you the Charleston and other dances of the 1920s. Bill Flynt and his steam calliope will be welcoming you to the gates- you'll know you're at the right place! Dress in your finest whites and enjoy an afternoon unlike any other! Think vintage bathing beauties, walking whites, and parasols. Flappers and sheiks welcome, too. The afternoon also features antique cars, vintage clothing, croquet, a photo booth, and vintage vendors. There will be a costume contest with prizes from area businesses including St. Martin's. Amelia Fox Trot will be spinning 78 rpm records on vintage phonographs! Carnival Barker's Ice Creams will be on hand with incredible ice cream made right here in town. We're encouraging everyone to bring a picnic- this is a lawn party, after all! In case you run out of time, Easy Slider Truck will be ready to serve you with their delicious hamburgers. The Jazz Age Sunday Social promises to be one of the highlights of the year, and we would love to see each and every one of you there! New York and LA have had vintage-inspired lawn parties for years, and it's about time Dallas got in on the fun. It all goes to a good cause, too- the JASS is a fundraiser for Dallas Heritage Village, who does great work in keeping the past alive here in Dallas. Admission is $10 age 12 and up: kids under 12 are free. Patron tickets are $25, which feature early entry, a private dance lesson, and a code for $10 off tickets to Dallas Heritage Village's upcoming fundraiser, History With A Twist. See you there!
