WHERE: Ro2 Art Downtown 110 North Akard Street, Dallas, TX 75201 ART TALK: Sunday, March 8, from 4-6pm Join us for the closing art talk and reception on Sunday, March 8, from 4-6pm. *Gallery hours: Wednesday-Saturday, 12-5pm Ro2 Art presents 'For Real,' bringing together two Texas-based contemporary realist painters, Sarah Atlee and James Zamora. Working from plate to palette, Sarah Atlee delights viewers with colorful and creative food and drink pairings, exquisitely painted on canvas -- using patterns and wild tablescapes. In contrast, James Zamora aims to portray the technical complexities of everyday life, working to reflect through painting, the characteristics of visual relationships recorded by our eyes during encounters with the material world -- and the subconscious imprints these experiences bring. ABOUT SARAH ATLEE Sarah Atlee is a paint-slinging, steak-chewing, kombucha-sipping, sushi-chomping, yoga-pantsing, sketchbook-doodling visual artist in Austin, Texas. Her pictures have been exhibited across the United States, including New York City, Santa Fe, Phoenix, Kansas City, Oklahoma City, and Dallas. She does not use an alarm clock. Visitors are always welcome at sarahatlee.com. ABOUT JAMES ZAMORA James Zamora earned his B.F.A. from the University of North Texas. James Zamora has been included in numerous juried exhibitions, earning several awards, including being featured in volume 114 of New American Paintings.
