CinéWilde at the Texas Theatre says
Before school lets out for the summer, come out to The Texas Theatre and get a dose of education, "BAD EDUCATION"!

CinéWilde is tickled pink to screen one of Pedro Almodovar’s more scandalous films, LA MALA EDUCACIÓN. This titillating masterpiece follows two young boys who bond over film and a shared tragic experience. Using the magic of movie-making, they try to work through their dark past. But who is directing, who is writing, and who is acting?

Turning gender on its head and memories inside-out, this meta-fictional film-noir explores the power of film and passion. It also explores Gael García Bernal as both man and woman so be prepared to swoon, giggle, and lust as he strips, dips, and quips — soooo sexy as he swings between genders and realities.

Our pre-show guest and community partner will be from the local League of United Latin American Citizens (#4871), a group dedicated towards helping HIV+, LGBT, and poor Latin communities around Dallas. They'll be raising funds and talking to us about Spanish media, local Latin culture, and Latin representation in film.

After the film, stick around for our after party (sponsored by Wild Detectives) with fun Latin drink specials, delicious Tex-Mex snacks graciously provided by local Mexican restaurant El Padrino's, an awesome Spanish music set by DJ George Quartz and possibly special guest entertainment and other surprises!

NOTE: This film is in Spanish with English subtitles.
