Join other Polaroid and instant-film fans for an Instant Film Society #PolaWalk. This time we’re heading to The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden for their annual “Dallas Blooms.”

We’ll start meeting-up at 12:30 p.m., and the #polawalk will start at 1 p.m. (unless arriving by DART, then anticipate spending 10 to 15 minutes finding a parking spot and getting to the entrance).

From the arboretum’s website: “This year's Texas-sized extravaganza features more than 500,000 spring blooming bulbs along with life-size Texas themed topiaries, entertainment, food and special activities celebrating the state.

“Dallas Blooms” features tulips, daffodils, Dutch Iris and hyacinths, pansies, violas and thousands of other springtime annuals and perennials. Apparently, the finale of this celebration is the mass flowering of the garden's collection of 3,000 azaleas that “bloom through the end of April.”

But, be mindful, as the gardens have a few “guidelines” for photographers -- instant or otherwise:
• Please do not stand or walk in garden beds or climb on trees or shrubs.
• Do not pick flowers.
• Do not take or harm any of the wildlife (this includes feeding squirrels).
• Please do not play in the water features.
• Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Non-Member Regular Admission Cost
• Adult general garden admission (13-64): $15
• Seniors general garden admission (65 & over): $12
• Children general garden admission (3-12): $10
• Children general garden admission (2 & under): Free
• On-site self parking or parking garage: $15
• Discounted daytime parking: $8 (online only)
