The event creator says
Coworking in Dallas has exploded over the past 3 years.

We've gone from 0 coworking spaces open in 2012 to double digits by the end of 2015.

But as the movement has grown in DFW, it's become splintered and in many ways disconnected from its roots.

At its core, coworking is about working around other people who inspire you. It's not about square footage, fancy desks or tribal allegiances. It's about connecting.

Started by Chirag Gupta and Oren Salomon, the Dallas Jelly Bean aims to break all barriers and provide a neutral space for coworking to be coworking again, with no strings attached.

While we're hosting our third event at Weekend Coffee in Downtown, the intention is to rotate venues. It will always be FREE to attend and we encourage you to come join us if even for 5 minutes just to say hi.

Some of our goals for the Jelly Bean include:
*Encouraging cross-pollination between members of different coworking spaces and the broader freelance + startup community
*Provide a sustainable venue for free coworking
*Starting other jellies all over town to fill the gaps between jelly beans!
*Curating and maintaining an up-to-date list of all presently operating coworking spaces for the Open Coworking Map
*Providing an opportunity for group organizers (such as Meetups or activist groups) to discuss succession plans and recruit leaders to pass the baton to.
*Mentor and advise the next generation of coworking space founders
