AT&T Performing Arts Center says
From his early days in Lubbock to touring England with the Beatles to finding success and fame in Los Angeles and back to Texas again, Delbert McClinton has seen it all. A staple of the Texas music scene, Delbert had his first hit in “Two More Bottles Of Wine,” which became a number 1 hit on the country charts for Emmylou Harris. Just over a decade later came Delberts first Grammy Award® nomination for 1989’s Live From Austin, followed shortly by his first win for “Good Man, Good Woman,” his 1991 duet with Bonnie Raitt. Several Grammy Awards® and numerous collaborations later, Delbert McClinton is bringing a taste of his annual Sandy Beaches Cruise to Strauss Square for a party under the stars. Now in its 23rd year, the Sandy Beaches Cruise sees Delbert take to the seas with some friends and favorite musicians in tow. Dubbed “Delbert’s Land Cruise,” this tour stop is a showcase of the best of the Sandy Beaches Cruise and features performances from the Quebe Sisters, Marcia Ball, and Teresa James.
