Diane's poetry comes from a place of transition and growth, as she takes you on a journey through her life's experiences, culture, personal battles, and sexual orientation transformation. Diane expresses cosmic love and relationship for all that exist in the universe and her adamant devotion to self-love, culture, consciousness, community and kinship. Her unapologetic, decadent, intrepid, sensual and provocative style of poetry reveals her vulnerabilities and strengths as an activist, mother, and same gender loving Nubian woman that is not afraid to expose the deepest part of her nature. Diane's poetry awakens the consciousness and resurrects the culture of an African diaspora marginalized by westernization. Diane Vincent has published Two Novels, Ambiguity and G.O.E. The COINTELPRO Project, as well as her recent book of poetry entitles Sistah From Another Planet. Diane has performed in various poetry venues throughout the DFW and GA and has featured in Kileen, TX and Dallas, TX.
