Join us for Lemonade Day Dallas' "Best Tasting Contest" on Saturday, April 29 from 1-4PM!

Lemonade Day is a FREE community-wide educational program designed to teach youth how to start, own and operate their own business: a lemonade stand. Everyone knows the old saying “When life hands you lemons, make lemonade.” With Lemonade Day, students use lemonade stands as a launch pad for their future success in life and business. Lemonade Day allows children to receive the following information that can be utilized in the future: learning how to create a budget, set profit-making goals, serve customers, repay investors, give back to the community, acquire goal setting, problem solve, and gain self-esteem critical for future success.

Last year’s national Entrepreneur of the Year for Lemonade Day was 3-J’s Lemonade from Cedar Hill, just south of Dallas. Over 100,000 children participated in Lemonade Day last year, in 55 cities, and these three brothers were the top prize winners. Coincidentally, the boys from 3-Js also were the runners-up at the 2016 Greater Dallas Best-Tasting Lemonade Contest.

This year, celebrity judges for April 29’s Best Tasting Lemonade Contest include: Pastor Bryan Carter, senior pastor at Concord Church; Richard W. Fisher, former President and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas; Tracy Rathbun, Owner of Lovers Seafood & Market and Shinsei Restaurant and Lucca Bienati – Best Tasting Lemonade winner 2016. Other judges are being confirmed. The following prizes will be awarded: Best Tasting and runner up, Most Original and runner up and People's Choice and runner up.

Children and their parents, teachers or mentors can register for Lemonade Day for free online at: dallas.lemonadeday.org.
